Jonty Jacobs is a all natural, grass fed, US made and USDA approved cured beef snack range which utilizes traditional South African methods to bring delicious and natural products to the market.
Our Story Jonty Jacobs was founded by Monique Daniels, a South African raised in Australia who relocated to New York in 2010. As a meat enthusiast who was raised on delicious, natural biltong made by a family friend in Sydney, Monique was disappointed with the quality and taste of cured beef products made in the US. While having dinner with her sister and husband one night, the crazy idea came to her that she should create her own Biltong brand which would bring the best tasting, natural, chemical and preservative free Biltong to the US market.
After 12 years in the finance industry and with a lot of hard work and perseverance, Monique and her husband Camran started the brand Jonty Jacobs in 2013 and they are very proud to offer a US made and USDA approved product to the market which is all natural and completely delicious!
Our Products Biltong (dried meat slices) & Droewors (dried sausage) are traditional beef delicacies which originated in South Africa. Our products are made from fine cuts of beef which are rubbed with vinegar & spices before being hung to naturally dry which maintains the meat's natural, tender flavor. Unlike many Beef Jerky products flooding the US market, Jonty Jacobs Biltong & Droewors DO NOT contain chemicals/additives and are not cured using sodium nitrates.
Cuts and flavors Our Biltong is available in two cuts; traditional includes the fine layer of fat which maintains the meats tender, natural flavor and a lean cut for the more health conscience. Our dried sausage or Droewors is available with a small amount of spice for a delicious kick. What makes us even more unique is our secret biltong spice blend which is made specifically for our biltong - add a little or a lot for a spicy taste! If you can handle it, we recommend addition a lot for a lekker kick!

As Jonty Jacobs range is all natural, chemical & preservative free, it is important that our products are appropriately stored and handled to maintain the meat's purity and taste. Therefore please ensure that our products are kept refrigerated after opening. Our use-by dates vary from 3 months (for the biltong slices) to 6 months (sausage). As our range is made fresh to order, we recommend ordering for timely consumption. Should you wish to store the product for the maximum use by dates the packages can be frozen and taken out to defrost for 15 minutes prior to consumption.
